2009 Arakoon Shiraz Grenache Mataro

Opaque black dark red colour with a dark red to brick red hue. Aromas of stewed plums, liquorice and tarry notes are followed by some new leather and spice. Rich and very ripe, the palate has flavours of black plum, black cherry and liquorice with some underlying leather and spice. Slightly dryish on the finish with fine grained tannins and aftertaste of black cherries, liquorice, leather and spice.
Drink over the next 1-2 years.
