2008 YarraLoch Merlot

This generously favoured Merlot went through a wild yeast ferment in barrel and was left to mature for 12 months in 40% new oak.

A plump, Yarra Valley Merlot that manages to retain regional character
Deep dark red purple colour with deep purple mauve hue. Lifted aromas of ripe dark plum, mulberry and cedar followed by some spice. The palate displays good weight with ripe dark favours of mulberry, plum and dark cherry followed by a spicy back palate. Fine grained velvet like tannins with long aftertaste of dark plum, mulberry and spice.
