2008 Wedgetail Estate Single Vineyard Shiraz

The fruit for this Shiraz was cropped at 1.5 tonnes per acre with the resulting wine being matured for 12 months in 50% New French Oak.

Opaque black crimson red colour with deep dark red hue. The nose is quite refined displaying perfumed aromas of blackberry, black cherry and violets followed by some confectionary and cedar end notes. Medium to full bodied the palate displays generous but refined flavours of dark plum, liquorice, blackberry and confectionary followed by some spice on the back palate. Very fine grained perfectly balanced tannin structure with long aftertaste of blackberry, liquorice and spice.
Cellar 3-4 years (2013-2014).
