2008 Staete Landt Pinot Noir

Semi translucent dark red mauve colour with mauve hue. The nose is a little restrained eventually yielding subtle aromas of dark plum, violets and cedar. The palate displays good weight but lacks complexity and power. Flavours of dark cherry, spice and cedar. Slightly dry fine grained tannins. Moderate aftertaste of cherry, spice and cedar. A relatively simple Pinot.
