2008 Signatory Port Dundas 14 Year Old Single Grain Scotch Whisky (700ml)
Although the label looks slightly different from previous editions, Signatory have released a number of these middle-aged Port Dundas. Young but very affordable, this is a no-brainer opportunity. The distillery closed its doors forever in 2009. Indies continue to offer glimpses into the glorious past of one of Scotland’s most respected and historic grain distilleries. Normally Port Dundas is marketed at 20 years plus, making this Signatory release all the more unusual. Two casks combined, (2nd fill Oloroso sherry butts) were bottled at 46% without chill filtration. Reportedly, the sherry influence doesn't overpower the grain. The price has never been this good. This will go fast.
"...it's amazing. Quaffable and drinkable and simple great! Bang for your buck." - whiskybase.com
"Very enjoyable, and while these casks have likely been used extensively, they still add to the overall experience. At this price point, I believe it offers good value, particularly for those on a tight budget." - whiskybase.com
