2008 Shadowfax One Eye Heathcote Shiraz

Maturation took place in a mix of new and used French oak hogsheads of which 22% were new. Opaque black crimson colour with deep dark red hue. The nose displays lifted aromas of black plum and ripe blackberry followed by some liquorice and dried meat characters. Medium to full bodied the palate displays flavours of liquorice, blackberry and plum followed by some toast and clove like characters with some spice on the back palate. Fine grained tannins with aftertaste of liquorice, toast and spice.
Cellar 3-4 years (2014-2015).
