2008 Saint Clair Pioneer Block 14 Doctors Creek Pinot Noir

The fruit for this wine was sourced from Saint Clair’s own vineyard at Doctors Creek along with a small amount from the Awatere Valley to add complexity. Semi translucent crimson red colour with crimson mauve hue. Aromas of black cherry and spice with a hint of anise and cedar as end notes. Excellent mouthfeel and weight with flavours of dark cherry, plum, spice and cedar. Velvet smooth tannins with aftertaste of spice and dark cherry.
