2008 Rise Shiraz

This wine was matured in a combination of new and used French and American oak for 16 months. Totally opaque black purple colour showing excellent saturation and glass cling with a very deep black purple hue. Aromas of ripe blackberry, plum, liquorice allsorts and blackpepper. The palate displays plenty of weight with rich inky flavours of dark plum, blackberry and spice followed by some blackpepper on the back palate. Very fine grained tannins with long aftertaste of blackberry, dark plum and blackpepper.
Drink over the next 3-4 years (2010-2014).
