2008 Reschke Bos Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon

Totally opaque midnight black core with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Intense ripe blackcurrant scents mix with liquorice, hints of mulberry, earthy cedar, leather and spice. On the fuller side, the ripe blackcurrant fruit is holding up well but this is a wine that needs drinking sooner rather than later. Opens with impressive richness but then begins to fade, drying out on the finish to leave tertiary elements of earthy vanillin cedar, old leather and spice on the back half. Slightly furry tannins impart a lingering firmness on the medium to long aftertaste.
