2008 Pirramimma Katunga Shiraz

A small amount of Viognier has been included in this blend. Maturation took place in a combination of 90% older French & American oak to retain fruit freshness & 10% new American oak.

Deep purple crimson red colour with crimson mauve hue. The nose displays youthful ripe plum, ink and dark cherry aromas followed by liquorice allsorts and apricot. Rich ripe dark raspberry, plum and spice flavours displaying good weight followed by confectionary, dried apricot and liquorice allsorts on the back palate. Fine grained slightly dry tannins with moderate aftertaste of ripe raspberry, dark plum and spice.
