2008 Peter Lehmann Stonewell Shiraz

Matured in 90% French and 10% American oak hogsheads for approximately 14 months. Totally opaque saturated black purple colour with very deep black purple hue. Liquorice and blackberry top notes are followed by some confectionary, vanilla and spice scents. Bold rich blackberry and liquorice flavours dominate the palate and are followed by some vanillin confectionary, light toast and spice ably supported by fine grained, well integrated but sturdy tannins. Long aftertaste of liquorice, blackberry, confectionary and spice.
