2008 Peter Lehmann Mentor Cabernet Sauvignon

Matured in 100% French oak hogsheads for 18 months, the 2008 Mentor displays an opaque, black dark red colour with deep, dark red hue. The nose exhibits scents of lifted, ripe blackcurrants followed by some dark chocolate, cedary, cigar box like characters and spice. Full bodied the palate delivers generous, fully ripened Cabernet flavours of blackcurrant and dark chocolate followed by an undercurrent of cedar along with a spicy back palate. Fine grained, slightly dryish but balanced tannin structure. Long blackcurrant, cedar and spice aftertaste.
