Matured in predominately new and 1 year old fine grained French oak casks. Totally opaque black dark crimson red colour with dark red black hue. The nose presents aromas of blackcurrant, a touch of liquorice, subtle cedary cigar box and spice. Medium to full bodied the palate possesses rich perfectly ripened blackcurrant flavours followed by some dark mulberry, a touch of earthy tobacco and spicy cedar. Dryish but fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of blackcurrant, earthy cedar and spice.
