Deep purple mauve colour with purple mauve hue. The aromas appear a touch subdued at first but open up to reveal notes of ripe cherry, plum and liquorice allsorts followed by some toast. Ripe and joosy palate flavours of plum and dark cherry followed by some spicy toasted vanillin oak on the back palate. Good weight and mouthfeel with very fine grained tannins and aftertaste of plum, dark cherry and toast.
