Opaque black dark red colour with deep dark red hue. The nose displays aromas of toasted oak followed by some blackberry, liquorice and confectionary notes. Full bodied and rich with an opulent texture. The toasted oak component is again a little too strong. Flavours of toasted oak, liquorice, blackberry and confectionary with some black pepper on the finish. Very fine grained tannins with aftertaste of liquorice, confectionary, spice and toast.
