Tasted single blind against its peers. The de Malle 2008 has an uncomplicated bouquet that offers honey, tangerine and quince aromas. The palate is medium- bodied and more alcoholic that previous encounters. However, there is certainly good weight and a harmonious finish with custard creams and a spicy note that emerges in the glass with aeration. This is a fine Sauternes. Tasted January 2012.
