2008 Chateau de Beaucastel Coudoulet de Beaucastel Cotes du Rhone

A good effort from a difficult vintage.
Deep, dark crimson red colour with dark, crimson mauve hue. The nose displays good perfume with notes of dark cherry, raspberry, earth, dried meat and spice. The palate is not as concentrated or rich as previous top vintages such as 2005 and 2006. Light to medium weight with elegant flavours of dark cherry, spice, dried meat like characters and earth. Dry finish with fine grained tannins and aftertaste of dark cherry, earth and spice.
