This wine spent 18 months maturing in carefully selected fine grain American oak of which 30% was new.
Opaque black crimson colour with black crimson hue. Aromas of inky black cherry, blackberry, spice and a touch of liquorice. Full bodied displaying excellent concentration, the palate displays generous flavours of ripe blackberry, dark plum, liquorice and spice with some blackpepper on the back palate. Very fine grained tannins with long aftertaste of ripe blackberry, liquorice, blackpepper and spice.
Drink over the next 3-4 years (2013-2014).
