This wine was matured for 12 months in French oak. Semi translucent crimson mauve colour with crimson mauve hue. The nose is little subdued upon first sniff slowing yielding aromas of ripe plum, strawberry and cherry followed by a touch of spice. Medium weight with flavours of cherry, spice and strawberry with a hint of toast in the background. Good powerwave with fine grained slightly dry tannins. Aftertaste of cherry, toast, spice and plum.
