2007 Yalumba Patchwork Shiraz

Very deep black crimson colour with black crimson hue. Lifted nose of violets, followed by vanilla, liquorice and spice, showing good varietal character. The palate displays good weight and mouthfeel with dryish tannin backbone. Flavours of cedar and stewed fruit. Dry but balanced tannins. Aftertaste of stewed fruit and cedar which is quite persistent.
