2007 Voyager Estate Shiraz

Tasted approximately 6 hours after being opened. Opaque dark crimson red purple colour with dark crimson purple hue. The nose displays good perfumed lift of liquorice, confectionary, blackberry and blackpepper. Full bodied with flavours of ripe blackberry and liquorice allsorts followed by some toast and blackpepper end notes. The length & power of the wine falls short of expectations. Fine grained tannins with aftertaste of liquorice, blackpepper and toast. A very good Margaret River Shiraz that delivers plenty of flavour but one that fails to live up to the hype surrounding the wine.
