Almost opaque black mauve colour with black mauve hue. Lifted nose, with top note of blackberry, followed by a touch of liquorice allsorts, spice and just a hint of dark chocolate. The palate does not have the voluptuous quality of past vintages and needs time to blossom. Fine dryish tannins which persist into the aftertaste.
