Winemaker Geraldine McPaul has produced an inspired cool climate Chardonnay. Bright straw colour, with pale gold tinge and pale straw hue. Lifted nose, showing complexity and distinct varietal character. Top note of yeast lees, hazelnut, biscuit and cashews. Creamy textured palate, however, it is still dry. Nuances of grapefruit over a layer of hazelnut, cashew and yeast lees. Some confectionary is evident on the back palate. Aftertaste of confectionary, spice and yeast lees.
