2007 Signatory Vintage Single Cask Glenburgie 14 Year Old Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml) - LMDW Exclusive

With a whopping ABV and a deep, deep auburn red colour, this is one very desirable Glenburgie! Signatory Vintage have sourced a super-saturated example from a first-fill sherry butt (#900081) yielding 586 bottles. Exclusive to the French retailer, La Maison du Whisky, it formed part of their 'Plume collection' along with Glenlivet, Benrinnes and Glenallachie. The series is dedicated to high quality malts from sherry casks. We've managed to sneak a small volume onto our latest shipment. Although little-known as a single, Glenburgie has been distilled since 1829. Purchased by Hiram Walker in 1936, ever since then it's been closely associated with the Ballantine’s blend. In 2004, the old distillery was demolished and a new, larger, open plan design was implemented. A third pair of stills was also added. 62.5% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered. Extremely limited stocks.
