2007 Mr Riggs Shiraz

The 2007 Mr Riggs Shiraz demonstrates clearly that great wines can be made in difficult years – but at a cost. Winemaker Ben Riggs has used less than 30% of his production to ensure that the 2007 Shiraz delivers the power and flavours that he demands.

Opaque black purple colour with black purple hue – a total saturate of colour. A wonderful sniff – violets, spice and fresh liquorice aromas overlayed with vanilla bean. Totally mouthfilling palate – with explosive flavours of liquorice, blackberry, vanilla and black pepper. Exceptional palate length which continues to roll on and on. Very fine tannins, perfect balance. Very long aftertaste of black pepper, vanilla and spice.
