2007 Les Fusionels Intemporelle Faugeres

A one third equal blend of Syrah, Mourvedre and Grenache that was matured for 12 months in French oak barrels, 15% of which was new. Opaque black dark crimson red colour with deep dark red hue. The nose displays earthy dark cherry top notes followed by some meaty nuances and spice. Full bodied, rich and stacked with opulent ripe fruit the palate delivers flavours of blackberry and black raspberry with a meaty earth like overlay and peppery finish. Dryish, but fine grained and integrated tannins with medium to long aftertaste of black cherry, spice and earth.
Cellar 2-3 years (2013-2014).
