2007 Juniper Crossing Shiraz

2007 is proving to be one of the best years for Shiraz in Margaret River for some time. This wine was matured in French oak, of which 10% was new, for a period of 14 months.

Opaque purple deep crimson red colour with purple crimson hue. The nose is quite restrained with aromas of blackberry, ink and spice emerging followed by some meaty end notes. The palate displays excellent concentration exhibiting flavours of blackberry, liquorice allsorts, ink and spice followed by a very strong and persistent white pepper character. Fine grained dryish tannins but in balance. Long aftertaste of liquorice allsorts, meat, earth, spice and pepper.
