Aged for 12 months in 50% American and 50% French oak. Deep dark crimson red mauve colour with crimson red mauve hue. The nose displays distinct spearmint top notes followed by blackcurrant, spice and confectionary. Full bodied with flavours of blackcurrant, plum, spice and confectionary followed by a touch of mint. The tannins are firmish but balanced. Long aftertaste of blackcurrant, spice and spearmint. A generous Cabernet.
