A middle-aged Craigellachie at high strength. According to the Laings', you can expect aromas of caramel sauce, honey and sweet ripe fruits followed by cocoa powder, smoked ham and almond nougat plus a long and rich finish with dark chocolate and oak tannins. The price is reasonable compared with the official releases of similar age - especially given that this is a single cask pick. 753 bottles were charged from a sherry butt in July 2022. 50% Alc./vol. Non chill filtered.

Stuart Laing, son of famous independent bottler, Douglas F. Laing established Hunter Laing & Co. after nearly 50 years in the industry, breaking away from his brother Fred who remains the owner of the Douglas Laing Company. Hunter Laing are best known for their Old Malt Cask, Douglas of Drumlanrig and Old and Rare series, all of which are sourced from single casks from distilleries around Scotland.
