Tasting note: Brilliant pale gold. Penetrating whiffs of kumquat, balsa wood and vanilla-wafer biscuit. An intense, spirity delivery. Mildly prickly. Sweet vanilla on entry, then bittersweet, grainy and lean. Quite peppery to finish with vanilla dominating. Nipping spices carry the aftertaste. Better with water. 63% Alc./Vol. 311 bottles.
