2007 Escarpment Pinot Noir

Superb concentrated black purple mauve colour, almost opaque, with outstanding depth, almost Shiraz like. The nose is equally impressive, with black cherry top note followed by violets and spice. The palate does not disappoint – excellent Pommard like structure, loaded with black cherry and violet infusions over a black pepper layer. Fine tannins, dryish but perfect for the long haul. A wine that has excellent cellaring potential.
