The grapes for the St. Jakobi Shiraz are sourced from a small 6-acre vineyard planted in 1975 by Wayne Dutschke’s uncle Ken Semmler. Maturation took place in a combination of new and older French & American oak hogsheads for 20 months.

Opaque black dark crimson red colour with black dark crimson red hue. The nose delivers aromas of liquorice, dark plum, blackberry and confectionary. Full bodied rich voluptuous palate with mouthfilling flavours of liquorice, blackberry, dark plum, vanillin oak, spice and confectionary. Velvet smooth tannins with long aftertaste of liquorice, spice, pepper and dark plum.
Cellar 3-4 years.
