2007 Carrick Pinot Noir

Excellent colour – deep dark crimson red mauve colour with dark crimson mauve hue. The nose is a little closed upon first sniff with aromas of black cherry, violets, dark plum, Troncais oak and spice emerging, increasing in intensity with each sniff as the wine warms up. The palate displays good weight and richness but doesn’t deliver the power wave expected. Flavours of dark cherries, violet infusions and spice. Velvet smooth tannins with aftertaste of dark cherries and spice.
