This wine has been produced from a blend of 49% Cabernet Sauvignon, 42% Merlot, 4% Petit Verdot, 3% Cabernet Franc and 2% Malbec. Matured in a combination of French and some American oak for 15 months. 25% new oak was employed.
An excellent example from a top vintage in Margaret River.
Deep crimson red purple colour with mauve hue. The nose is quite restrained upon opening slowly yielding
aromas of violets, blackcurrant, cedar and spice. The palate is mouthfilling with excellent concentration, whilst
still maintaining a sense of elegance and refinement. Flavours of cassis, cedar, spice and truffle
with some liquorice end notes. Fine grained dryish but balanced tannin structure with long aftertaste of cassis,
truffle, cedar, spice and tobacco. Cellar 3-4 years (2012-2013).
