2007 Boundary Rider Unoaked Chardonnay

Chardonnay is one of the most versatile of white grape varieties and winemaker Peter Flewellyn has mastered the multitude of expressions the variety is capable of. In this example, fermented in stainless steel tanks with no oak contact, Flewellyn has managed to avoid the characterless profile often experienced with un-oaked styles, instead producing a wine with fresh, pure, ripe fruit flavours, offering delightful Summer drinking.

Brilliant straw colour with pale gold hue. Delicate top note of peach, spice and melon. The palate has good weight with creamy texture. Flavours of peach, melon and tropical fruit over a light honeycomb background. Clean finish. Aftertaste of peach, melon and spice.
