Medium body, crimson colour with crimson mauve hue. Superb lifted nose showing impressive varietal character. Top note of dark cherry, followed by strawberry, violet, spice and anise. The palate displays flavours of spice, anise and dark cherry with a very spicy back palate. Fine grained tannins. Moderate powerwave. Aftertaste of stewed fruit, spice and anise.
