The 2006 Shiraz Reserve was aged in 100% new French oak for 24 months. The nose delivers wood smoke, meat, game, pencil lead, black cherry, blueberry, and licorice notes. Voluptuous and mouth-coating, it conceals enough structure for another 6-8 years of development in the cellar. This lengthy, impressive effort will offer peak drinking from 2014 to 2030.
