2006 Mr Riggs VOR-GS Riesling

Almost water like in appearance, with brilliant palest of straw colours and showing a delicate green tinge. Top note of spice, followed by orange blossom with hints of tropical fruit and lime. The palate displays flavours of lime, tropical fruit, spice and orange rind. Clean acid finish.

First Tasted, October 2006:
A wine inspired by the Spatlese wines of Germany. Brilliant pale straw colour with water like hue. Lime, spice top notes followed by orange blossom and a hint of camomile. The palate has adequate residual fruitiness, with flavours of ripe orange and ripe mandarin, over a lime and tropical fruit background. Clean finish. Aftertaste of tropical fruit, mandarin and just a hint of lime.
