Matured in a combination of new and older French & American oak hogsheads for 22 months. Opaque, deep crimson purple colour with purple mauve hue. Aromas of vanilla, ripe plum and confectionary with liquorice allsorts end notes. Full bodied with a ripe generous flavour profile – ripe plum, aniseed and confectionary with some blackpepper and spice emerging on the back palate. Fine grained velvet like tannins with aftertaste of liquorice allsorts, confectionary and dark plum. Excellent value.
