2006 Jim Barry First Eleven Cabernet Sauvignon

Totally opaque black dark red colour with very deep black dark red hue – the colour is holding up exceptionally well. Maturation took place in a combination of 70% new American and 30% new French oak for a period of 12 months. The nose is filled with ripe blackcurrant notes followed by some mint, dark chocolate, liquorice, cedar and spice. Rich and possessing superb concentration the palate boasts mouthfilling flavours of ripe blackcurrant, liquorice, spice and cedar along with a hint of mint. Good framework with solid but fine grained tannins. Long aftertaste of blackcurrant, spice, dark chocolate, cedar and mint.
Cellar 4-5 years (2015-2016).
