2006 Domaine La Barroche Chateauneuf du Pape

Tasted 24 hours after being opened. Near opaque deep purple crimson red colour with purple mauve hue – excellent colour. Aromas of new saddle leather, dark cherry, earth, truffle and spice. Medium to full bodied showing good weight and richness with flavours of black cherry, truffle and a hint of liquorice followed by some leather, earth and spice on the back palate. Fine grained, dry, but well balanced tannins. Long aftertaste of black cherry, spice, earth and leather.
Cellar 4-5 years.
