2006 Best's Great Western Sparkling Shiraz

This is the first release of a Sparkling Shiraz from Best’s despite the fact that the Great Western region is renowned for it’s production, having been made in the region since the early 1900’s.

Excellent long lasting creamy mousse showing good hold with very fine and very persistent bead. Deep purple crimson base wine colour. Rich plum and blackberry aromas followed by some liquorice and a touch of earth. The palate displays excellent flavour concentration – ripe blackberry, plum and confectionary followed by a touch of liquorice as an end note. Excellent weight and length with a creamy texture. Very long aftertaste of blackberry and plum.
