Bright crimson mauve colour with mauve hue. The saturation is quite low for a Heathcote red. Medium body. Top note of spice and plum, lightly perfumed. The palate flavours are light – stewed plum and spice flavours emerge. Fine dry chalky tannins. Aftertaste of stewed plum and liquorice. A wine that delivers little Heathcote charisma.
