Matured in a combination of French and American oak for 18 months. Opaque dark red colour with dark brick red hue. The nose displays good lift with aromas of ripe blackcurrant, dark chocolate, leather, vanillin oak and spice. Medium to full bodied with a soft supple texture the palate delivers flavours of dark chocolate, vanillin oak and leather with a touch of spice on the back palate. Velvet smooth tannins with aftertaste of blackcurrant, leather and spice.
