2005 Toolangi Chardonnay

Bright pale gold colour with straw hue. Top note of hazelnut followed by butterscotch, yeast lees, melon and fig, showing flavours from the ripe fruit end of the spectrum. Complex barrel ferment character. Creamy texture. Mouthfilling palate with flavours of hazelnut, butterscotch and spicy oak over a background of yeast lees. There is a hint of anise on the back palate. Clean finish. Long spicy oak, lees and butterscotch aftertaste.
