Opaque black crimson colour with black crimson hue. Top note of liquorice allsorts, followed by vanilla and toasted oak. The palate reveals flavours of vanilla, toasted oak, plum and stewed fruit. Fine grained slightly chalky tannins. Aftertaste of stewed fruit, vanilla and plum.

The 2005 Shiraz Mungo Park (from 80-year old vines) boasts an inky/ruby/purple color, lovely earthy, smoky, peppery, blackberry, and cassis fruit, a dense, full-bodied palate, wonderful opulence and richness, sweet tannin, and fine length. This stunner should age beautifully for 1-2 decades.
