2005 Stellenrust Timeless Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot Cabernet Franc

A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc aged in French oak for 18 months.

Deep dark crimson red mauve colour with brick red mauve hue. The nose displays good perfumed lift but is also starting to show signs of development with aromas of stewed plum, dark chocolate and cedar with a hint of new leather as an end note. Velvet like texture with flavours of stewed fruit, cedar, earth and leather. The fruit is beginning to show signs of drying out. Aftertaste of stewed plum, cedar and leather.
