Opaque black purple colour with black purple hue. The nose is a joy – showing strong Heathcote varietal and regional character. Strong freshly crushed blackberry followed by vanilla and spice. The palate is mouthfilling and has a joosy quality not found in recent examples of Mount Ida Shiraz. Flavours of black pepper, spice and vanilla deliver a generous mouthfeel, showing plenty of ripe fruit character. Fine grained tannins – perfect balance. Long aftertaste of blackberry and vanilla. Cellar 4-5 years (2011-2012) Alc/Vol: 13.5%
