2005 Rutherglen Estates Renaissance Petit Syrah

Petit Syrah is a synonym for Durif, a term used frequently in the United States and Israel.

A big Rutherglen Red – comparable to the power profile of Warrabilla. Opaque black crimson colour with black crimson hue. Lifted nose of black cherry, plum, vanilla and spice. Generous full bodied, muscular, balanced tannins. Layers of liquorice allsorts, black cherries, spice, vanilla and plum. Mouthfilling black pepper and plum back palate with excellent length and depth of flavour - a concentrate. Fine grained tannins with exceptionally long aftertaste. A classic Rutherglen Red – that in the past would be described as a “3 course meal with cigar included”.
