2005 Reilly's Dry Land Shiraz

Matured for 2 years in American oak. Totally opaque black crimson colour with black heart and very deep black dark red hue. Aromas of blackberry, plum and liquorice bullets followed by a touch of spice as an end note. The palate displays enormous weight and concentration with densely packed flavours of liquorice, dark chocolate and super ripe blackberries with a spicy back palate. There is some heat present on the finish that perhaps pushes the boundaries of acceptability a little. Very fine grained tannins with aftertaste of ripe blackberry, liquorice and spice.
Drink over the next 2-3 years (2010-2013).
